Reformation Remix – A Four Session Study on Lutheranism

December 31, 2021 by pastordave Leave a Comment

The Adult Faith Formation Team of the Virginia Synod is excited to announce their offering, “Confessions of a Lutheran: Reformation Remix.”  This four-week experience will include TED Talks from Dr. Vince Evener remixed into a playlist with biblical passages, hymns, art, poetry, and more.

Bethel Lutheran Church and Pastor David Young will be offering this as both an “in-person” and Zoom event beginning in January. We will meet on four consecutive Saturdays, January 15, 22, 29, and February 5, in the Bethel Fellowship Hall (or on Zoom) from 9:30-11:00am.

The Zoom link to join each week is as follows:

Meeting ID: 889 0816 5763 Passcode: 619503

Dr. Vince Evener is Associate Professor of Reformation and Luther Studies at United Lutheran Seminary.  He has taught at United Lutheran Seminary since 2015, after completing his doctorate at the University of Chicago Divinity School. His research examines how sixteenth-century reformers sought to equip Christians to exercise discernment and self-discipline in divided religious contexts and amid pervasive fear of deception.
